2.5 piece cranks

Guys, sorry for posting this so late. We've been so busy with a new thing. We'll let you know what it is on the nex days.

Here is another part that we are so happy to release because it has taken more than 2 years to develop. First of all, we have to clarify that the 2.5 piece cranks is a joke that Guiri did while drawing at the interbike. Actually they are 3 piece cranks that look like a 2 piece. Some people went crazy with this.

On the axle, we designed it on a way were you just have one bolt to tighten both arms. You just have to slide the arm that has no bolt into the axle, mount it on the bb and then mount the other arm like a regular crank.
It's is internally machined with the material were you really need it so it only weights about 200grs./0.44lb. (the about is because weights sometimes change a bit on the final production). With this weight, we don't think is worth to make a titanium one so the cranks will have a good price.

The arms have this plate on the inside that prevents bending. With that plate, we could use a slighty thinner tube both arms only weights 590 grs. / 1.3lb.

Other detail on the arms is that the tube that holds the axle is made of one piece with a plate that connects the sprocket bolt. This piece makes almost impossible to separate the arm from that tube because has so many welding surface. We've been testing these cranks for almost 2 years so we can say that.

The bolt that you see is not the final one. It's just a no name bolt. We'll show you the final bolt asap. We still don't know the weight of bolt but it will be around 20grs. /0.04 lb. so the total weight of crankset will be around 760 grs. (1.67 lb.) which is very low for the strength that hey have.

We want to give them some more time of testing so we are not sure when they will be available. I think that they will be on the shops around March.
