3Amigos frame

Sorry again for posting this a little bit late. Too many things going on...

So here it is the info about the 3amigos frame. It´s being about more than one year since we've been working on this frame and finally we have it in production. We are so excited that finally managed to make all that we wanted and it was very hard to achieve but finally will be on the shops on late November.

We believe that this has been the frame were we have invested more time and effort so far in the designing process, and here are all the new details about the new 3Amigos frame. We hope you like it.

1- INTEGRATED GUSSET.
As we said you here before, it has taken a lot of time and effort but we finally made a down tube that has an integrated gusset instead of welding a plate there that causes over heat and weakness on the frames. We made a tube that has an asymmetric thickness so you have a 1.2 mm. thickness on all the tube and a 2mm. section just were the former gusset was. We are happy to find the solution for the weakest spot of any frame.

2- INTEGRATED SEAT CLAMP.
Besides simplifying the bike with one part less, it looks really good in our opinion and also tights the post really well.

3- INTEGRADED CHAIN TENSIONER.
We designed a chain tensioner that is totally hidden and removable. The frame will include two chain tensioners and this way we solved the problem of those who wanted tiny dropouts but wanted to use a chain tensioner.
Check how tiny it is compared to the smallest chain tensioner that we could found.

4- SEAT STAYS AND CHAIN STAYS PLATES.
Instead of using the regular tube, we designed this plates that makes the rear triangle stronger, stiffer and also looks very nice to us making a more original and unic frame.

5- TWO REAR END LENGTHS.
As there are people that like different top tube lengths, there are people that choose the rear end lengths, so we are offering 2 rear end lengths too. Right now Perico and Javier use the long ones and Mc.Gyver the short one.
The short one is 13.75" and the long one is 14.25".
The front end (top tubes) sizes will be 20.6" and 21".

6- INSIDE MACHINING DROPOUTS.
Just check the photos it explain it all. Less weight and same strength.

7- DOWN TUBE /BB/ CHAIN STAYS CONJUCTION.
This is another solution to have a low profile brake. Is like the Pantera frame but without the gusset, so the chain it´s even lower and you can use the 25/9 gearing with no problem.

8- 69º SEAT TUBE.
The 3amigos (Mc.Gyver, Perico and Javi) wanted the seat more out of the way so they choose a more layback seat tube and they love it, because you really feel that the seat is less on the way and it makes the bike more manubrable and really good for tailwhips and no footer stuff.

9- WEIGHT.
The weight of the 3Amigos frame is 2.450 grs. (5.39 pounds)

10- COLOURS.
The 3Amigos frame comes in signature limited edition colours chosen by the 3Amigos members by themselves. They came like this:
-Javier: dark grey.
-Perico: orange.
-Mc.gyver: red.

NOTE: on the photos you can see a prototype frame that has a hole with thread in the seat tube to fit the brake tensioner. The production frames comes without it and comes with the same brake tensioner that has all our frames that is the one that works the best.
