Flybikes: New ruben ligera tire

New ruben ligera tire By David on 20 September 2008

You have probably seen the new ruben tires on a couple of the guys bikes lately. It’s a new version of the ruben tire. This one isn’t going to replace the current one, it’s just another model. We made this design with the square holes to allow it to have more grip, specially in trails, and it also has a different feeling. The main difference on the new rear tire is that it has a more knobby treaded pattern and a thinner casing. It is similar to the current front one. So it’s lighter but not as durable as the classic one. You choose which one best fits your riding style! The front one weighs almost the same as the classic one. The change is just on the grip and feeling. Here are the weights:

Ruben ligera 1.90: 490 grs. / 16.9 oz.
Ruben ligera 2.0: 515 grs. / 17.7 oz.
Ruben ligera 2.0: 570 grs. / 19.6 oz.
Ruben ligera 2.25: 580 grs. / 20 oz..

The new ruben ligera tires are on their way to the distributors now, so they will be available in about 3 weeks!

I hope you like them!
